South India Excursion Tour

The South India Excursion Tour covers three cities of South India-Bangalore, Mysore and Ooty.

Day 1: Welcome to Bangalore/ Benguluru
On arrival at Bangalore Airport, our representatives will welcome you at the airport and transfer you to the Hotel in Bangaluru, Karnataka.
Bangalore renamed as Bengaluru is called the "Garden City of India". Numerous gardens and boulevards along with the pleasant climate attract lots of senior citizens to spend their old-age in Bangalore making it 'the retired man's paradise'. More than 200 pubs in Bangalore make it famous as Pub City of India too. The capital of Karnataka, Bangalore is one of the fastest growing cities of Asia. India's first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru used the term 'India's city of the future' for Bangalore which has been proved right by people and nature of the city. The friendly people, educated population and climate have brought the Silicon Valley of India on the world map as an important Business Center of India with almost all computer multinationals setting up their head offices in Bangalore.

Day 2: Sightseeing Tour at Bangalore
After breakfast leave for a sightseeing tour to Bengaluru. Tour to Bengalore includes sightseeing of the following places:
Vidhana Soudha-House to State's Legislature and Secretariat
Attara Kacheri- Gothic style architecture housing the High Court dates back to 1867.
Nandi Temple-One of the oldest temple of the city popularly known as Bull Temple
Bangalore Palace-Palace built to look like a smaller replica of the Windsor Castle in England
ISKCON Temple-Shri Radha Krishna Chandra Temple
Aquarium-Bangalore Aquarium Is the second largest aquarium in India.
Lal Bagh- Lal Bagh houses 1000 species of flora and the Glass House modeled along London's Crystal Palace.

Day 3: Bangalore- Mysore:
After breakfast check out of the hotel in Bangalore and travel to Mysore by surface. Check in at a hotel to Mysore.
Mysore is a city of gardens, shady avenues, palaces and sacred temples. Mysore has been successful in maintaining its charm of old world with modern developments due to the various institutions in the city that still propagate Carnatic Classical music and dance.

Day 4: Sightseeing Tour at Mysore:
After breakfast leave for Mysore Sightseeing Tour.
Maharaja's Palace- Popularly known as the Mysore Palace, the palace was built in Indo-Saracenic Style between1897-1912.
Jaganmohan Palace-Jaganmohan Palace built in 1861 by Maharaja Krishnaraja Wodeyar is considered the most beautiful building of Mysore.
St. Philomena's Church- Built 175ft in height, St Philomena's Church is a marvelous gothic structure with twin spires.
The Mysore Zoo- Established in 1892, Mysore Zoo is houses some rare animals in its lush green surroundings.

Day 5: Ooty
After breakfast leave for Ooty by surface.
Just like Shimla in the north, Ooty is the "Queen of Hill Stations" in the south. The pictorial hill station Udhagamandalam (Ooty) in Tamil Naidu in South India is nestled in the Western Ghats at an altitude of 2240meters. Ooty is connected to Mettupalayam , the nearest broad gauge railway junction by 'Nilgiri Toy Train'.

Day 6: Ooty Sightseeing Tour
After breakfast leave for a sightseeing tour to Ooty.
Kodanadu View point: Situated in the eastern edges of the Nilgiris, Kondanadu provides a panoramic view of the tea estates and the river Moyar on the either side.
St. Catherine Water Falls: The Dolphin's Nose of Coonoor provides a panoramic view of 250feet high ST. Catherine Water Falls.
Other Places: Gudalur (gateway to Nilgiris from Kerala and Karnatka) , Rose Garden etc

Day 7: Ooty - Bangalore
After breakfast check out of the hotel in Ooty and travel to Bangalore. Check in at hotel in Bangalore.
Enjoy the evening in the Pub City or Garden City of India-Bangalore.

Day 8: Farewell Day
South India Tour is complete and the time has come to leave for the onward journey.
